Another Place to Write Words

This is interesting.

I just got completely called out for writing skeet-threads like the monster that I am, and have long been in search of a non-Nazi-supporting platform for writing longer form thoughts that don't rise to the level of earning their place in The Chancery Daily archive.

So, here we are. "blog it, don't overthink it" is a catchy tagline, ngl.

I have so many projects and plans and things going on right now, it feels like the worst possible time to pick up a new place to put words on the interwebs, but maybe it's the best time to try new things.

I have a Lot of Thoughts™️ about the IPO landscape right now, and just went down a rabbit hole trying to figure out how it is possible that in the year of our lawd 2026, I just spent thirty minutes fighting with a bunch of .png files of that SpaceX just filed as a "Free Writing Prospectus" in lieu of ... doing literally anything else that could be useful.

Page 1 doesn't seem to damning until you realize that it's .pngs all the way down. No selectable or computer-readable text, nada. They did this for foreign filings in Japan, Australia, and the UK, and to announce this:

Some of the graphics and other visual elements from the foreign filings seem slightly different than in the US filings, but how could one possibly know when the source filings are images! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'm thinking about doing some TAM analysis on The Chancery Daily. Maybe the key to making money in this environment is just making things up that sound cool?*

*I do not actually believe this, but reality is fighting me.
